Boudh, Aug 23: In an unfortunate incident, a man allegedly hacked her wife to death suspecting her extra-marital affair. The incident occurred in Sampoch village under Harabhanga block of Boudh district.
The deceased has been identified as Kasturi Swain.
According to the information, Kasturi had gone to their farmland while her husband Bholanath spotted her talking with another man. Suspecting the extra-marital affair of Kasturi with that person, Bholanath decided to kill his wife and attacked her with an axe. However, Kasturi managed to escape and while trying to enter home, Bholanath again attacked her and killed on the spot.
After committing the crime, Bholanath informed police about the incident and surrendered before the cops. Police seized the body, arrested the accused and started a probe into the incident.
