Man electrocuted, son critical after coming into contact with high-tension wire

Digapahandi, Ap 22: A man died and his son was seriously injured here on Monday after they came in contact with a live wire at Adapada village under Hinjili police limits. The deceased has been identified as Kora Behera.
According to the sources, Kora Behera and his son had been to their farmland this morning. Kora was in the midst of digging up taro roots when an 11 KV wire unexpectedly snapped, falling onto him. In a bid to save his father, his son bravely intervened, but tragically suffered injuries upon contact with the high-tension wire. The locals immediately rushed them to Primary Health Centre (PHC) in the locality. Regrettably, Kora succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, his son shifted to MKCG Medical College and Hospital for further treatment to address his injuries.
