Nuapada, Jan 16: A man allegedly beat his own nephew to death following a dispute over their ancestral land in the district on Saturday. The incident occurred in Gambhariguda village under Sinapali police limits. The deceased has been identified as Nandakishore Kharsel. According police, the accused and the deceased had land dispute since long following which both resorted to an altercation today. Things took an ugly turn, when the accused picked up a stick and attacked Nandakishore, who died on the spot. A team of Sinapali police reached the spot being informed about the incident but the accused had fled from the village by that time. We are conducting raids at different places to nab the accused.
