The man is one of the two individuals accused of misbehaving with the students. Efforts are underway to apprehend the second suspect, who is currently on the run, said Yash Pratap Shrimal, Superintendent of Police (SP), Jajpur.

As per the complaint filed at Dasarathpur Police Station, the accused not only made lewd comments but also touched the students inappropriately. Additionally, they allegedly assaulted the brothers of one of the women, who is originally from the village and studies in Delhi.

“When my brothers intervened, they were beaten up. The attackers seemed to be under the influence of alcohol,” one of the students told reporters on Monday.

The incident took place late Sunday evening in a village within Jajpur district. The two students had just returned from a visit to a local temple and were walking back to the home of the local student when they were confronted by the two men.
