Bargarh, July 11: In a tragic incident, a man was allegedly hacked to death by his son over a family feud on Wednesday night. The incident took place at Dunguripali village under Paikamal police limits in Odisha’s Bargarh district on Thursday.
According to the information, the deceased identified as Dhananjay Ajagar used to quarrel with his wife and beat her in an inebriated condition. Dhananjaya’s son Vidyadhar Ajagar, who was disturbed by the regular fight of his parents, sent her mother to his uncle’s house. However, Dhananjaya started arguing with his son for sending his wife without taking his permission. The incident turned ugly when an enraged Vidyadhar hacked his father with a weapon.
Locals rescued a critical Dhananjay and rushed him to a nearby hospital then shifted to Burla Medical College and Hospital as his condition deteriorated. However, He was declared dead by doctors.
Being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and started investigation into the incident. The accused son is reported to have fled from the spot after committing the crime.
