Rourkela, Jan 5: Police on Sunday arrested two youths in connection with a bag-snatching incident that occurred under the jurisdiction of Sector-19 Police Station in Rourkela town, Sundargarh district.
The suspects have been identified as Abhisek Nag alias Abhi (22) from Sector-16 and Subrat Kumar Swain alias Hritik (22) from Sector-6.
According to the police, the arrests came after an investigation into a bag-snatching incident that took place on December 31, 2025. The two accused, riding a motorcycle, allegedly stole a bag containing cash and valuables from a woman near Fitness Park. Following leads, the police successfully tracked down and apprehended the suspects, solving the case.
