Jharsuguda, Nov 6: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday intensified its stir against the Odisha government demanding resignation of Minister of State (Home), Dibya Shankar Mishra for his alleged links with the main accused in the Mamita Meher murder case. The Opposition party today observed 8-hour bandh. The party has demanded for an investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and for the capital punishment of hanging till death, as given under Section 354(5) of the Criminal Code of Procedure 1973, of the prime accused Govinda Sahu. Party workers were instructed to ensure that marketplaces, roadside shops, malls and commercial establishments including government and private organisations remain closed.
