Bhubaneswar: Maharashtra girls team emerged champion of the 31st Sub-Junior National Baseball Championship 2026 at KIIT and KISS grounds here on Thursday.

In the Girls’ final, Maharashtra emerged as the National Champion after defeating Chhattisgarh in an impressive display of discipline and teamwork.

Earlier in the girls’ semifinals, Maharashtra defeated Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh registered a commanding victory over Odisha. The Hard-Line matches also produced exciting performances. Punjab defeated Delhi in the Boys’ category, while Odisha overcame Andhra Pradesh in the Girls’ category.

In the Boys’ semifinals, Maharashtra defeated Punjab, while Chhattisgarh edged past Delhi in a closely fought contest to book their place in the final. The much-awaited Boys’ final, Maharashtra will face Chhattisgarh to be played on Friday.
