Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has expressed his sincere gratitude to Union Health Minister JP Nadda for approving the addition of 62 postgraduate (PG) seats across six government medical colleges and hospitals in the state for the 2025-26 academic year.

In a letter to Nadda, Majhi emphasized that this approval is a significant step in enhancing medical education and healthcare infrastructure in western Odisha. The increase in PG seats will not only elevate the quality of medical teaching but also improve access to specialized healthcare for local residents.

The Chief Minister reassured that the Odisha government remains fully committed to adhering to the standards set by the National Medical Commission and will provide all necessary support to ensure these institutions become leading centers of medical excellence.

Majhi also conveyed his deep appreciation for Nadda’s continued efforts to promote equitable healthcare access across the country.
