Bhubaneswar, June 28: Earlier, a low-pressure area had developed over the northwestern Bay of Bengal and adjacent coastal regions of Odisha and West Bengal, triggering widespread rainfall across several parts of Odisha. With another low-pressure system expected, the state is bracing for more rain in the coming days.
Heavy rainfall forecast across multiple districts
On Saturday, districts such as Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, and Keonjhar are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Parts of both northern and southern Odisha may also experience showers.
The IMD has forecast heavy rainfall for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati.

June 29: Heavy rain is likely in Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Sundargarh.
June 30: Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Jajpur are expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall. An Orange Warning has been issued for these three districts.
July 1: Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi may experience heavy to very heavy rain. Moderate to heavy showers are also predicted in Koraput, Nabarangpur, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Cuttack, Khurda, Gajapati, Ganjam, Nuapada, Rayagada, and Puri.
July 2: Heavy rain is likely in Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Nuapada, Balangir, and Bargarh.
July 3: Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Keonjhar, and Mayurbhanj may again see heavy rainfall.
