Balasore, Aug 29: A shocking case of love, sex, and dhoka has surfaced in Balasore, where a youth was arrested for allegedly engaging in physical relations with a young woman under the false pretext of marriage. The incident started on Instagram, where the accused initially expressed love and promised to marry the woman, only to exploit her later for sexual favors.
The victim, a young woman from the Basta police jurisdiction, complained about the accused, identified as Mallik Prem from Talpada village in Mayurbhanj, allegedly maintained a romantic relationship with her, promising marriage. However, on the 23rd of this month, he took her to a hotel, Hotel Glory in Chandipur, where they had a physical relationship.
After the victim insisted on the marriage, the accused refused, leading to a complaint being filed at Basta Police Station. Following the complaint, the police immediately began an investigation and arrested the suspect. Today, the police and a forensic team visited Hotel Glory and examined Room No. 202, where the incident occurred, collecting evidence such as documents and CCTV footage.
The victim has claimed that their relationship began on Instagram, with the accused expressing love and making promises of marriage. She alleges that after physical relations were initiated, the accused pushed her aside, refusing to keep his promise. The victim has demanded strict legal action against the accused, expressing her distress and seeking justice.
