New Delhi, July 23: Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned till tomorrow, 11 AM (July 24), due to continued disruptions by Opposition MPs on the third day of the monsoon session. Protests erupted over issues such as the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, the Pahalgam terror attack, and US President Trump's claims about mediating between India and Pakistan.
Despite repeated appeals by the Acting Speaker, the Lok Sabha was unable to proceed with discussions on the Goa ST representation bill. The Opposition insisted on a debate over the SIR exercise and other national concerns, disrupting proceedings with placards and slogans. The Rajya Sabha also faced repeated adjournments throughout the day.
Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya managed to introduce the National Sports Governance Bill, 2025, in the Lok Sabha before it was adjourned. Both Houses will reconvene at 11 am on July 24.
