Bhubaneswar, December 16: A total of 45 memorandum of understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 6,263 crore were signed with the potential to generate over 38,000 jobs at the Odisha Pharma Summit 2025 here.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the inaugural event of the summit and also launched the Odisha Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices Policy 2025.

“The summit witnessed the signing of 45 MoUs worth Rs 6,263 crore with potential to generate over 38,000 jobs, reflecting strong investor confidence in Odisha’s policy framework, infrastructure readiness and governance,” said CM Majhi.

“The launch of the Odisha Pharmaceutical & Medical Devices Policy 2025, along with the announcement of dedicated Pharma and Medical Devices Parks at Khordha–Nayagarh and Khordha, marks a decisive step towards building a globally competitive, innovation-driven and employment-oriented ecosystem in this vital sector,” said the CM.

The summit brought together senior policymakers, industry leaders, domain experts and key stakeholders, enabling meaningful deliberations on strengthening India’s pharmaceutical and medical-technology ecosystem.

“The overwhelming industry response reaffirms Odisha’s growing stature as an emerging life sciences hub in eastern India, rooted in credibility, progressive policies and investor-friendly governance. The Government of Odisha remains firmly committed to providing a transparent, facilitative and future-ready environment for industry,” said the CM.

The Chief Minister also industry leaders and innovators to partner with Odisha in this transformative journey.

“I invite industry leaders and innovators to partner with Odisha in this transformative journey as we work collectively to build a resilient healthcare manufacturing ecosystem and realise the vision of a Samruddha and Viksit Odisha - "Yahi samay hai, sahi samay hai," said Chief Minister Majhi.
