Bhubaneswar: Local hero Kabir Hans and partner Rishab Agarwal fought valiantly but ultimately finished as runners-up. The top-seeded duo of Egor Agafonov and Bogdan Bobrov claimed the doubles title with a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the M25 Bhubaneswar ITF World Tennis Tour 2024 at Kalinga Stadium here on Saturday.
In the singles final, No. 1 seed Dalibor Svrcina (CZE) will face Nick Chappell (USA) on Sunday. In the singles semifinal today, [1] Dalibor Svrcina (CZE) and [7] Nick Chappell edged out [8] Aryan Shah and [3] Bogdan Bobrov 6-0, 6-4 and 6-2, 6-3 respectively.
The doubles final was followed by an award ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including Chief Guest P M Prasad, Chairman & Managing Director of Coal India Limited, and Guest of Honour Uday A Kaole, Chairman & Managing Director of Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd, alongside Director of Finance MCL Ajit Behura.
