Bhubaneswar, August 13: Scores of aspirants are visiting the BJP state headquarters daily to press for their lobby for the chairman post of different corporations ahead of party’s core committee meeting to be held on August 16.
The party sources said the corporations will be awarded considering aspirants’ hard work and obligation for the party organisation.
There are around 37 corporations and boards in Odisha government. The chairman and advisor of all corporations and boards have tendered their resignation with change of government in the state.
Several frontline leaders who were denied ticket in the elections despite their long dedication in strengthening the Odisha BJP have intensified their lobby for big corporations like Odisha State Housing Board, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation, Odisha Rural Housing & Development Corporation, IPICOL, Odisha Film Development Corporation, Western Odisha Development Council, and Khadi Board.
The party’s core committee meeting is going to be held for the first time on August 16 after BJP came to power in Odisha. It will be attended by Sunil Bansal, Odisha BJP in-charge Vijaypal Singh Tomar, co-incharge Lata Usendi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi during BJP Chief Ministers’ meeting has advised to work balancing the organisation and government.
