Cuttack, Nov 10: The last victim of Bahanaga train accident got discharged from SCB Medical College and Hospital on Thursday.
Bajrangi Thakur of Malbathar village under Kotariya police station in Bihar’s Banka district was seriously injured in the tragic train accident that took place on June 2 in Balasore district of Odisha.
He was the last victim who was undergoing treatment in the plastic surgery department of SCB Medical College and Hospital. Over 200 injured were admitted to the hospital. Six persons died while undergoing treatment and all other were discharged after successful treatment.
Bajrangi’s condition was very critical when he was admitted to the hospital. His left leg had got totally damaged in the accident and doctors amputated his left leg. He was undergoing treatment in the plastic surgery department for the last five months. He has undergone an artificial leg implantation.
The hospital administration sent him happily back to home in Bihar with flower bouquet and sweets. Bajrangi and his wife expressed their gratitude to the hospital management for saving his life.
