Colombo, July 29: After winning the first two T20Is of the three-match series, Surakumar Yadav led Team India would be keen to dominate the final T20I on Tuesday and register a 3-0 clean sweep against hosts Sri Lanka.
With the T20I series already in their kitty before the final game, Team India's new Head Coach Gautam Gambhir and T20I skipper Suryakumar may be happy to have begun well.
But considering India are the reigning World Champions in the shortest format and Lanka could not even make into the Super Eight stages of the recent T20 World Cup, the two Indian victories in the island nation, might not have surprised many.
Whatever may be the outcome of the final T20I, the two sides would be eager to have their upper hand against the opposition, in the three-match ODI series. All the three ODIs will be played in Colombo from August two.
Meanwhile, India's ODI skipper Rohit Sharma, batting mainstay Virat Kohli, spinner Kuldeep Yadav, middle order batter Shreyas Iyer and pacer Harshit Rana have arrived, here on Sunday for the ODIs.
As per schedule, India's T20I team led by Suryakumar will play the final T20I on Tuesday in Pallekele. But the ODI stars Rohit, Kohli, and others, including newcomer Rana, are expected to train in Colombo, where the 50-over games will be played.
India's ODI Squad:
Rohit Sharma (captain), Ꮪhubman Gill (vice captain), Virat Kohli, KL Rahul (wicket-keeper), Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Shreyas Iyer, Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd. Siraj, Washington Sundar, Arshdeep Singh, Riyan Parag, Axar Patel, Khaleel Ahmed and Harshit Rana.
