Los Angeles, July 29: Singer-actress Lady Gaga, who is set to star alongside Joaquin Phoenix in 'Joker: Folie à Deux,' is now engaged to her longtime boyfriend, entrepreneur and tech investor Michael Polansky. The couple is now preparing to tie the knot.
Gaga revealed the news to French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, as reported by People magazine. In a TikTok video posted by Attal on July 28, Gaga is heard introducing Polansky as “my fiancé” while they attended a swimming event together.
Gaga and Polansky were first romantically linked in 2020, after being spotted kissing at a New Year’s Eve party in Las Vegas. Shortly after, they went public with their relationship during a PDA-filled weekend in Miami for Super Bowl 2020. Gaga shared a photo on Instagram of the couple cuddled up on a yacht, captioning it, "We had so much fun in Miami."
A source close to the 13-time Grammy Award winner told People that the couple quarantined together during the early phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, growing close while hunkering down at Gaga’s house.
In January 2021, Polansky was by Gaga’s side when she performed at President Joe Biden’s inauguration. At the time, a source revealed that Gaga was “happy” with Polansky and “grateful” for his support, introducing him to people backstage at the event as “my boyfriend.”
