Tangi, Feb 17: In a dramatic late-night operation, police raided an illegal gambling den hidden in a forest near Kunjoori-Narmānabī village in the Khordha district. During the operation, police seized a car, four motorcycles, 20 mobile phones, 10 packets of playing cards, and other gambling-related items.

A total of 20 gamblers were arrested from the site, and a cash sum of ₹10, 38,500 was recovered from their possession. The raid was conducted under the supervision of Tangi Police Inspector Rabindra Kumar Bhujabal, who confirmed the details.

The operation was carried out by a combined force from Khordha, Tangi, and Balugaon police stations, following orders from the Khordha District Superintendent of Police. Officers in plain clothes carried out a search operation in the jungle and successfully raided the gambling spot, bringing the illegal activity to a halt.
