Bhubaneswar, November 26: Ahead of the winter session of the Odisha Assembly, Speaker Surama Padhy has chaired an all-party meeting on Wednesday to ensure smooth proceedings. Parties discussed the duration of Zero Hour and speaking time for both the ruling and opposition benches.

The meeting also reviewed preparations for President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the House on November 27, with officials confirming that all arrangements are complete.

Security has been intensified as per Blue Book norms, with a three-tier arrangement around the Assembly.

Thirty-three platoons of police, STF, Striking Force, Bomb Squad, Dog Squad, Fire Services, and over 225 officers—including 7 Additional DCPs and 23 ACPs will be deployed.

CCTV surveillance, temporary control rooms, and barricades have turned the area into a high-security zone. Section 144 will remain in force in the Lower PMG area during the session.
