Bhubaneswar: Khordha District U 7 Boys & Girls Chess Championship 2025 opens with 28 participants here at Venkateswar English Medium School, Infocity Area, Patia, After two rounds in boys section five players leading with a score of two points each and in girls section two players leading with two points each.
The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including Chief Guest J.Rajkishore, Principal, Venkateswar English Medium School , Mahesh Prasad Mishra, Vice-Principal, Venkateswar English Medium School ,other top authorities of Venkateswar English Medium School ,Gobinda Chandra Mohapatra, Ex-President,AOCA , Subhasis Patnaik, Secy. KDCA , Swayangsu Satyakam, Member KDCA & Dr. Susanta Sarangi Member, KDCA.
After two rounds, the competition has already seen exciting battles on the board, with U 7 below aged players showcasing their talent. The tournament marks a significant milestone for chess in Odisha , as first age group district championship bringing together young talents in an electrifying atmosphere.
The Championship is officiated by experienced Arbiters IA Bhabesh Mohanty and SNA Dr. Susanta Sarangi.
