Crown Prince drives PM Modi to airport, Ethiopia next.

The Jordanian leg of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's significant three-nation diplomatic journey came to a close on Tuesday afternoon. Following a series of high-level engagements and cultural exchanges, the Prime Minister has now set off for Ethiopia, marking the second phase of his international tour. The departure was highlighted by an extraordinary display of diplomatic warmth, emphasizing the deepening relationship between New Delhi and Amman.

In a move that diplomats are describing as a rare and special honour, Jordan's Crown Prince, Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, personally took the wheel to drive Prime Minister Modi to the airport. This personal gesture went beyond standard protocol, signaling the close personal rapport shared between the leadership of the two nations. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) highlighted this moment on social media, noting that the Crown Prince seeing the Prime Minister off personally was a testament to the "warm bilateral ties" that currently exist.

Prior to heading to the tarmac, the final hours of the PM Modi Jordan visit were spent exploring the rich cultural history of the region. The Prime Minister, accompanied by Crown Prince Al Hussein, paid a visit to the renowned Jordan Museum. This engagement was centered around the theme "Vikas bhi Virasat bhi" (Development as well as Heritage), a concept often championed by the Indian Prime Minister.

During the museum tour, the leaders were guided by Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, who serves as the Vice-Chair of the institution. The visit provided a platform for both nations to reflect on their shared civilizational roots and the historical connections that have linked India and Jordan for centuries. The MEA spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, shared updates online, celebrating the exploration of these ancient links.

As the Prime Minister's aircraft heads toward Ethiopia, the focus now shifts to strengthening India's partnerships in the African continent. However, the visuals of the Crown Prince driving the Indian Prime Minister have already become a defining image of this successful diplomatic stopover, projecting a message of strong friendship to the global community.
