Kendrapara, August 30:Locals from Odisha’s Kendrapara grabbed an antisocial who was wandering with gun in the Rajnagar area on Saturday.
The youth suspected as a Bangladeshi national was ultimately handed over to the police.
The incident took place at Gupte Ghat this morning.
Sources said, a Bangla speaking youth was loitering before a liquor shop at the Gupte Ghat in an inebriated condition. Smelling something odd, locals introgated the youth and took a look of his belongings during which a sophisticated firearm was found from his bag.
Following this, locals detained him, seized the bag and informed police regarding the matter.
Police rushed to the spot, seized the gun and escorted the suspect to the police station.
Process is underway to verify the valid documents of the detainee, to ascertain his identity but in vain, said police.
