Kendrapara, Nov 4: The Kendrapara BJD is going to witness new equation after the party appointed former minister and Mahanga MLA Pratap Jena as the district observer.
Earlier, those who were appointed the observer of Kendrapara BJD were not directly associated with the district politics. However, Jena is a native of Balipatna village under Pattamundai block of the district and familiar with the Kendrapara politics. Besides, his constituency, Mahanga in Cuttack district, falls under Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency which will help him to manage infighting and to bring dissidents to the party fold.
However, the infighting among party leaders in Kendrapara and Patkura constituencies along with difference between Rajnagar MLA Dhruba Charan Sahoo and zilla parishad chairman Ashok Pratihari will stand as main challenge before the newly appointed district observer.
Now, the party is witnessing cold war among various groups in Kendrapara and Patkura constituencies openly defying the party whip.
The Kendrapara block and city committees were formed without informing Kendrapara MLA Sashibhusan Behera following which loyalists and dissidents had separately taken part during the recently concluded training programme of the party.
