Bhubaneswar, Nov 13:The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially registered a case related to the police Sub-Inspector (SI) examination scam. The investigation follows a recommendation by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and approval from the central government.

A team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) has been constituted to probe the entire incident. The CBI has already collected all details from the Crime Branch’s investigating officer.

During the investigation, close associates of the accused, including Sagar Goud-who was handling the Digha module- have been arrested. Information regarding financial transactions has also been obtained.

So far, 126 individuals have been arrested in connection with the scam. Officials indicate that the ongoing CBI probe could potentially implicate several more high-profile individuals.
