Bhubaneswar/ Hyderabad, February 15: Two men from Odisha's Malkangiri district were arrested in Hyderabad on February 14 for attempting to transport 10.32 kg of marijuana. The accused, Ashish Shikdhar (60) and Bhima Jali (34), were caught near the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station after their suspicious behavior prompted a search.

Police found the marijuana concealed in specially designed vests with hidden pockets. A third suspect, Mouni (40), who allegedly arranged the drug delivery, remains at large.

Investigations revealed that Shikdhar and Jali, who were promised ₹2,000 per kilogram, had previously delivered 6 kg of marijuana to an unknown recipient in January. On February 13, Mouni gave them 10 kg more, but when the recipient did not appear, they waited near the station, leading to their arrest. Police also seized two mobile phones, two jackets, and ₹2,380 in cash.
