Bhubaneswar, Nov 15: At least five students from Jeypore town in Odisha’s Koraput district have been picked up by a team of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) regional office in Karnataka in connection with illegal ganja trade.
According to sources, a 15-member team of NCB Karnataka regional office picked up Himanshu Sekhar Nayak, Raja Mandal, Shiva Datta, K Amarnath and Soham from their rented accommodation at Parabeda Sahi in Jeypore on November 13.
All the accused are students of Vikram Dev University in Jeypore, said sources.
The development has been confirmed by Jeypore Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Harish Bisi.
