Bhawanipatna, Aug 28: In a tragic incident, a biker died after being hit by a truck in Odisha’s Kalahandi district on Wednesday.
The identity of the deceased has yet to be identified.
As per reports, the accident took place near Municipality office at Bhawanipatna in the district when the speeding truck rammed into the bike from behind killing him on the spot.
After getting information, local police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
The driver of the truck is absconding and a search operation has been launched to trace him, a police officer said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
Further investigation is underway.
