Boudh, Feb 29: A junior engineer of District Water Resources Department in Odisha’s Boudh was found hanging inside his government quarters this morning. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Kumar Ghosh. As per reports, Pradeep returned home at around 2.00 am on Thursday after attending an office party. However, he did not go to office today following which his colleagues went to his government quarter.
After arriving at his quarters, they found it locked from inside and knocked the door but there was no response.
Left out with no other option, Pradeep’s colleagues broke open the back door of his quarter and entered his room only to find him hanging from the ceiling. Thereafter, they alerted his family members and the police. Upon getting the information, police arrived at the spot and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. Though the exact cause behind Pradeep’s death is yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation suggests that he might have committed suicide.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
