Prayagraj, March 27: Lawyers at the Allahabad High Court have decided to extend their strike in protest against the transfer of Delhi High Court Judge Yashwant Verma to the Allahabad High Court. The strike, which began earlier, will continue on March 28.

Justice Verma’s transfer has sparked controversy following the discovery of large sums of cash at his official residence in Lutyens’ Delhi after a fire incident.

As a result of the protest, judicial proceedings at the Allahabad High Court have come to a standstill.
