US forces allegedly capture Venezuela leader after night strikes

Massive explosions and low-flying military aircraft shook the Venezuelan capital early Saturday morning, setting the stage for a shocking announcement from the United States. President Donald Trump has declared that US forces successfully captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro during the overnight operation.

According to a statement released on his Truth Social platform, President Trump asserted that the United States executed a "large-scale strike" targeting the Venezuelan leadership. He claimed that both Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, were secured by US law enforcement agencies and have already been flown out of the South American nation.

Chaos in Caracas

Before the announcement, residents in Caracas reported a terrifying night. Starting around 2:00 am local time, at least seven distinct explosions were heard across the city. Eyewitnesses described military jets flying dangerously low, causing panic in several neighborhoods.

Social media platforms were quickly flooded with videos showing plumes of thick smoke rising from the city skyline and buildings engulfed in flames. Reports also indicate significant power outages, particularly in the southern districts near a major military base, adding to the confusion and fear among the local population.

Waiting for Confirmation

While the Venezuelan government acknowledged that the strikes were conducted by American forces, they have remained silent regarding the specific whereabouts of their leader. As of now, there is no independent confirmation from Caracas verifying that Nicolas Maduro has been detained or removed from the country.

President Trump stated that more details regarding the operation and the alleged capture would be revealed during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago at 11:00 am. The world now waits to see if the end of the Maduro regime has officially arrived or if the situation on the ground remains contested.
