Bhubaneswar: Deepak Mahanta a young mountaineer from Keonjhar district of village Kasia and a member of AASA (Association for Adventure and Social Activities) has successfully scaled 6070 mtrs Mt. UT Kangri in Ladakh on 22nd January 2026.
Earlier Mahanta had climbed Mt.Yunam (6150 mtr) of Himachal Pradesh in 2025 and Mt. Sethidar, Himachal Pradesh (5800 mtrs) in 2022. Having completed the basic and advance Mountaineering courses, Mahanta has planned to submit Mt.Everest in future.
