Shimla, October 7: A devastating landslide in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur district on Tuesday evening claimed the lives of at least 18 people, while three others were rescued. The tragic incident occurred around 6:30 pm in the Bhalughat area, within the Jhandutta assembly constituency, when a private bus carrying 30 to 35 passengers was struck by the landslide.

The bus was en route from Marotan to Ghumarwin at the time of the accident. Local officials mentioned that intermittent rainfall has been affecting the region since Monday, potentially contributing to the disaster. Rescue operations are currently underway.
