Bhubaneswar, Dec 10: The State Medicinal Plants Board has announced an online quiz on medicinal plants, in line with the upcoming 18th Kalinga Herbal Fair from today. The quiz is aimed at educating people about the uses of medicinal plants and traditional healing practices.

The Kalinga Herbal Fair will be held from December 10 to 16 at the Unit-3 Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. The quiz will be open to a wide range of participants, including members of Van Suraksha Samitis (VSS), traditional healers, plant cultivators, researchers, students, and the general public across the state.

The purpose of the quiz is to increase awareness about the benefits of medicinal plants, their seasonal uses, possible side effects, and common household remedies. It also aims to help people understand the importance of medicinal plants in health and sustainability.

Interested participants can register for the quiz online at the State Medicinal Plants Board's official website, smpbodisha.in (Quiz Section). After completing the quiz, participants will be able to download a certificate of participation.

The organisers hope the quiz will encourage students and citizens to take responsibility for conserving nature and natural resources. They also aim to inspire people to live healthier lives and value traditional medicine.
