Bhubaneswar, Jan 7: The Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) has announced that the Annual Flower Show 2026 will be held at Ekamra Kanan in the Nayapalli area of Bhubaneswar from January 9 to January 11. Officials shared the information on Wednesday.

The three-day exhibition will remain open to visitors from 8:30 am to 8:30 pm each day. Entry to the flower show will be free, and special arrangements have been made for free vehicle parking to ensure smooth access for visitors.

According to RPRC officials, the event will bring together a wide range of flowers and ornamental plants under one roof. More than 65 stalls—including plant stalls, open nursery units, food stalls and various display sections—will be set up to cater to gardening enthusiasts and the general public.

RPRC Architectural Assistant Kananalata Sahoo said the organisers are expecting a higher footfall this year, building on the success of the previous edition. “Last year’s flower show received an overwhelming response from visitors and plant lovers, which has encouraged us to introduce more attractions and improved arrangements this year,” she said. She added that major highlights of the 2026 show will include a large floral structure and over eight specially designed selfie points for visitors.

“We invite people from all age groups to come and enjoy the exhibition,” Sahoo said.

Meanwhile, President of the Plant Lovers Association, Khirod Pattanayak, said participants from various parts of the state are likely to take part in the show. He noted that, like previous years, the event will also feature cultural programmes such as music and dance performances, adding a festive atmosphere to the exhibition.

The Annual Flower Show has become a popular calendar event in Bhubaneswar. Last year, it attracted large crowds of nature lovers, gardeners and tourists, and organisers expect a similar or even greater response during the 2026 edition.
