Malkangiri, July 23: In a heartwarming display of bravery and compassion, CRPF jawans have won widespread admiration for their efforts in ferrying a woman and her newborn baby across a flooded river in the bordering areas of Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district and Odisha’s Malkangiri district.
As per reports, the incident took place today when 24-year-old Madwi Jagi from Nambi village in Bijapur district was experiencing extreme labor pain after giving birth and urgently needed medical attention. However, her family members were unable to reach the hospital due to the flood-like conditions in the Nambidhara River.
Upon learning of the situation, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel deployed in the region immediately sprang into action. With no boats available, the jawans ingeniously crafted a makeshift boat using materials found nearby. They then transported the ailing woman and her newborn across the swollen river to the nearest hospital.
According to reports, both the woman and her newborn baby are now safe and receiving the necessary medical care. This heroic act by the CRPF jawans has touched many hearts and showcased their dedication to serving the community in times of crisis.
