​​​​​​​Dhenkanal, Oct 17: In a tragic road mishap, a man with his two minor daughters was crushed to death by a speeding truck on Friday.

The kid’s mother also became critical in the incident who was rushed to hospital for resuscitation.

The heart-wrenching incident burst tears at Malpura village under the Kamakshyanagar police limit this morning.

The victims are yet to be identified, said police.

According to reports, a couple reportedly from the Bhuban area with two daughters was commuting towards Kamakshyanagar on a bike. Meanwhile, on NH 53 a speeding truck collided with their bike at the Malpur overbridge and fled the scene. As a result, all of them were thrown violently on the road whereas the man and his two kids died on the spot.

Police rushed to the spot and escorted the critical one to the hospital.

An UD case was registered in this connection.The bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations.Details about the victims are awaited. Meanwhile, the killer truck with its driver is tried to be spotted, said police.
