Bhubaneswar, November 15: The Odisha Government has created 4,433 new Nursing Officer posts in the State in order to make healthcare services more accessible, streamlined, and people-centric across the State.

These new posts in the Odisha Nursing Service Cadre were created following the approval of Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling to enhance healthcare services, augment technical manpower, and improve the overall structure of the nursing service.

According to reports, the Finance Department has approved already approved the creation of the new posts. The Health and Family Welfare Department will publish detailed guidelines regarding examinations, training, and postings soon.

The Nursing officers will be deployed in the Ayushman Arogya Mandir and Sub-Health Centres in the State. 

“With this decision, discipline and efficiency in patient care and nursing management will be strengthened. This initiative will further strengthen and enhance the competency and commitment of the State’s health sector in the coming days,” said a Government release quoting the Health Minister.
