Kanpur, November 13:In a significant development linked to the November 10 Delhi blast, Delhi Police have detained two individuals — a college professor and a medical student — both hailing from Jammu and Kashmir. The detentions took place in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur and Kanpur districts, officials confirmed on Thursday.

Dr. Farukh, an assistant professor at GS Medical College in Hapur, was taken into custody by the Delhi Police. According to Hapur Additional Superintendent of Police Vineet Bhatnagar, “Dr. Farukh, who was teaching in the obstetrics department of GS Medical College, had been residing on the campus for nearly a year. He was detained from the college premises on Wednesday night.”

Further investigations are underway to determine their possible links to the Delhi blast incident.
