Mumbai, Jan 20: After captivating audiences with its gritty, atmospheric storytelling in Season 1, ‘Kohrra’ is set to return with its second season on February 11, 2026. This investigative drama, one of Netflix’s most intriguing crime thrillers, continues to delve deep into the dark, wintry landscapes of Punjab, where silence often speaks louder than words.

The new season introduces a fresh case and a new pairing of characters, following Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi (played by Barun Sobti) as he moves from his previous posting in Jagrana to the Dalerpura Police Station. In this new chapter, Amarpal works under his new commanding officer, Dhanwant Kaur (played by Mona Singh), as they investigate a new crime that will leave viewers on the edge of their seats. The show also stars Rannvijay Singha in a key role.

The director and co-creator Sudip Sharma shared his excitement about the new season, saying, “Season 1 allowed us to explore quieter tensions between people and the past and present. For Season 2, we've stayed true to portraying the authentic reality of Punjab, and the characters are rooted in a universal truth. This season is an emotional rollercoaster, and I am thrilled for the audience to experience it. Barun and Mona have done an incredible job, and I can’t wait for people to watch it.”

Tanya Bami, Series Head for Netflix India, praised the show’s uniqueness, stating, “'Kohrra' has become a cult classic, earning love, awards, and praise from both audiences and critics. What makes it stand out is its honest simplicity, where unassuming backgrounds reveal complex layers as the fog of mystery clears episode by episode. Season 2, set in a new city with a fresh crime and a new partnership, is even more riveting. Sudip Sharma, as the creator, showrunner, and debuting director for this season, has crafted an unmissable crime drama thriller."

The first season of ‘Kohrra’ was released in 2023, and its return this February promises to be another thrilling ride for fans of the genre.
