New Delhi, December 20: A Delhi court has ordered the framing of attempt to murder charges against two men accused of attacking Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta during a public event earlier this year. The attack occurred on August 20, during a 'Jan Sunwai' program at Gupta's camp office in Civil Lines.

The court found a prima facie case against the accused, Sakriya Rajeshbhai Khimjibhai and Tahsin Raza Rafiullah Shaikh, for criminal conspiracy, obstruction of a public servant, and attempted murder. Khimjibhai, arrested in Gujarat, allegedly planned the attack, while Shaikh is accused of coordinating the conspiracy.

The two communicated before the incident, with Khimjibhai sending clips of the event to Shaikh. The court set the next hearing for December 26 to formally frame charges.
