Jaipur, April 6: Winning the toss on their home ground, here, Rajasthan Royals (RR) chose to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the 19th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Saturday.
Rajasthan skipper Sanju Samson informed his side play unchanged and pacer Sandeep Sharma continued to be unavailable. He expressed happiness that RR players have owed more responsibility this season so far.
Samson added that the reason for RR opting to bowl first is they expect dew to play a part later in the evening at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, here.
RCB captain Faf du Plessis however confirmed that the visitors have included young batter Saurav Chauhan, who has excellent skills of hitting the cricket ball very hard.
Asked about, if his side could have also chosen to bowl first, if they had won the toss, Faf du Plessis stated he was not fully sure of the dew factor.
