​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: In a tragic road mishap, three persons onboard a Thar Jeep, were crushed over to death in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday.

The incident took place near the Gangapada Toll plaza of the city in the evening.

According to reports, the speeding Thar crashed into a loaded truck. As a result, three youths died on the spot and one sustained critical injuries.

On being informed, police and fire service teams rushed the injured one to AIIMS Bhubaneswar for resuscitation.

Identities of the the deceased are yet to be confirmed by police. However, they are reportedly natives of Madanpur, said some unlookers.

Police have seized the bodies and two vehicles involved in the mishap from the spot.

A case in this connection has been registered while further investigation is underway, said police.

Worth mentioning, a speeding Thar Jeep had crushed over a motorist today near the Capital Hospital in the city and left few others critical.
