Sambalpur, Nov 22: A tragic accident on Saturday claimed the life of one person and left five others seriously injured when an ambulance collided with a sand-laden truck on the Sambalpur-Cuttack National Highway No 55, under the jurisdiction of Jujumara police station in Sambalpur district.
The deceased has been identified as Mana Bhanjan Sahu, an ambulance attendant. Among the five injured were the ambulance driver and other passengers. The injured individuals have been rushed to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Burla for treatment.
Reports suggest that the ambulance was en route to the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research when the collision occurred. The impact of the crash caused significant damage to the vehicle.
