Visakhapatnam, April 3: There is little to choose between the two sides. They have a record of some close finish battles over the last 16 seasons. Even in past encounters, both teams have proved they are compete to the core, whenever they face each other.
Although Delhi Capitals (DC) have never lifted the Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy, but they have been into the finals and play-offs on a few occasions. Their opponents Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have won the championship twice. But they too lack consistency like Delhi.
Interestingly present KKR captain Shreyas Iyer and their mentor Gautam Gambhir have been integral parts of Delhi Capitals in the past.
On the contrary, Delhi Capitals are elated with their captain Rishabh Pant back in business, after being out of action due to the tragic car accident in December 2022.
Though there is no love lost between the two formidable IPL teams KKR and DC, but they have often fought very hard against each other in the past.
Fans, players and team managements of both sides would be expecting yet another DC-KKR close battle on Wednesday in Visakhapatnam (DC's new home venue this season).
Perhaps, Delhi will look to make it two wins in two matches as they face an in-form Kolkata in Match 16 of the IPL 2024.
As per past records, the two teams clashed 32 times in the IPL so far with KKR winning 16 times and one game has resulted in no result for both teams.
