Bhubaneswar, Nov 10: Odisha has garnered national recognition for its innovative approach to sustainable urban mobility. The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) of Bhubaneswar received the “Special Mention Award in Urban Transport” for its flagship initiatives, Ama Bus and Ama E-Ride, under the category “Running Trophy for the State/UT that has implemented the Best Urban Transport Projects.”

The award was presented during the Valedictory Session of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) Conference 2025, held today in Gurugram. The recognition was received by Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary of the Housing & Urban Development Department, along with senior officials from CRUT.

This national accolade highlights Odisha’s leadership in promoting people-centric and eco-friendly mobility solutions. It underscores the state’s commitment to developing modern, inclusive, and sustainable cities by integrating environmentally conscious transport systems.
