Puri, May 9: Inventory of the Ratna Bhandar in Puri Jagannath Temple will be conducted during the Rath Yatra.
Chairman of the Ratna Bhandar Committee Justice Arijit Pasayat informed it on Thursday following a significant meeting in Puri regarding assessment of the gems and jewelries.
Sources said Justice Pasayat presided a significant meeting in connection with opening of the Ratna Bhandar in the conference hall. Chief Administrator of Shri Jagannath Temple Vir Vikram Yadav, Shri Jagannath Temple Administration officials, ASI officials with members of the Ratna Bhandar Committee discussed on various aspects of the Ratna Bhandar.
Asked on the schedule of opening of the Ratna Bhandar, Justice Pasayat said, Rath Yatra or other festivals will be most preferable for dealing with the Ratna Bhandar aspects. It’s because there would be no interference of visitors during the special rituals.
The Ratna Bhandar Committee is sincerely analyzing the aftermaths and issues which are likely to occur during the occasion, if the underground treasury of the Shri Jagannath Temple is opened up officially. Modern methods will be adopted to gauze the quantity and quality of the gems and jewels, treasured in the Ratna Bhandar,Justice Pasayat added.
