Lucknow, January 21: Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla underlined on Wednesday that citizens have strong faith in the electoral process, trusting that their elected representatives will champion their concerns and work towards solutions.

Addressing the closing session of the 86th All India Presiding Officers' Conference and the 62nd Conference of Secretaries of Legislative Bodies, Birla emphasized that the legislature is a vital forum for voicing the issues of all citizens, especially the most marginalized.

“When citizens cast their votes, they do so with the hope that their elected representatives will bring their challenges to the House and strive for solutions throughout their tenure,” said the Speaker.
