Mumbai, Jan 3: The team behind Yash’s upcoming film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups continues to build anticipation with a series of character posters, each adding new intrigue to the film’s dark universe.

The latest reveal introduces Tara Sutaria in her first pan-India role, unveiled as Rebecca—described as “enigmatic and fragile.” The poster presents Tara in a striking avatar, exuding elegance and intensity as she holds a gun, hinting at a character who is both alluring and formidable. According to the makers, Rebecca is someone highly desirable and graceful, yet commands power and weapons as if they were her birthright.

Director Geetu Mohandas spoke at length about working with Tara, describing her as a deeply observant and guarded presence. She shared that their creative relationship was shaped by giving Tara space rather than pushing her, resulting in a calm and professional collaboration. Mohandas noted that Tara spoke little, listened deeply, and allowed something powerful to take shape beneath her silence.

Praising the actress’s performance, Mohandas said Tara delivered a “breathtaking” turn in the film and expressed confidence that audiences would be equally surprised by her portrayal.

Tara’s first look follows earlier character reveals, including Kiara Advani as Nadia, Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth, and Nayanthara as Ganga, each contributing to the layered and immersive world of Toxic.
