Punjab, May 13: With the India-Pakistan tensions triggered from the Pahalgam massacre paused for a while on the ceasefire agreement, Schools in Punjab's Amritsar, Pathankot, Fazilka, Ferozepur, Tarn Taran remain shut with some other bordering villages, have been yet shut to tackle possible Pakistan’s attack.
Schools in five border districts of Punjab remained closed on Tuesday anticipating drone attack by the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Earlier on Monday night, a blackout was enforced in Amritsar and Hoshiarpur's Dasuya and Mukerian areas as a precautionary measure, officials said.
Colleges and universities also remained shut in Pathankot and Amritsar for the same reason. However, online classes were allowed to the higher institutions.
